For agencies

Domain monitoring for agencies that run client domains.

Agencies use Aepto to keep every client’s domains in one place: a folder per client, uptime and broken-page alerts on client sites, renewal dates and costs by client, and a status page each client can check instead of emailing you.

What does an agency need from domain monitoring?

The jobs that land on an agency when client domains break, and where each one lives in Aepto.

How do you onboard a new client?

    About fifteen minutes per client.

    1. 01

      Create a folder

Name it after the client and set a budget if you pass renewal costs on.

    2. 02

      Add their domains

Quick Add fills in registrar, hosting, SSL and DNS details. Domains stay in the client's registrar account.

    3. 03

      Turn on checks

Uptime and SSL on every site, Theft Guard on the main domains, Content Monitoring on shop and lead pages.

    4. 04

      Publish a status page

Pick the client's monitors, add their logo, and point status.client.com at it.

    5. 05

      Route alerts

Your team via webhook, the client as a verified contact for the alert types they care about.

    Which plan fits your agency?

Pick by the number of client domains you look after.

What do clients see when something breaks?

Their own status page, on their own domain, showing which service is affected and when it started. You post updates there once, instead of answering the same email from five people.

    Common questions

Short answers to what people ask before they start.

Can each client have their own status page?

Yes. Business and Agency include unlimited white-label status pages, and Professional includes 5. Custom status domains (status.clientname.com) are 3 on Professional, 5 on Business and 10 on Agency.

    Can clients receive alerts directly?

Yes. Add a client as an alert contact, choose which notification types they get, and they receive email once they verify their address. Contacts are 15 on Professional, 50 on Business and 100 on Agency.

Do client domains have to move to our registrar account?

No. Aepto monitors domains wherever they are registered, including in the client's own registrar account.

Can we report domain costs per client?

Yes. Put each client in a folder, set folder budgets, and export expenses as CSV or PDF from Domain Expenses.

What happens after a plugin update breaks a client site?

If the page still returns HTTP 200, uptime checks stay green. Content Monitoring (paid plans) reads the page, opens a content incident and emails the contacts you chose.

Hear about client outages before your clients do.

Free for 3 domains. Agency covers 150.
