The Aepto Domain Expiry, SSL & DNS Monitor plugin runs free Domain Anchor checks on your site and emails you before a domain or certificate lapses. No account needed.

What does Domain Anchor check on your site?

Run it from Aepto, then Anchor, with one click on "Run check now".

Domain days left

A countdown to registration expiry, with the registrar shown.

SSL days left

A countdown to certificate expiry, with the issuer shown.

Tether

Confirms the public host still serves this WordPress site.

DNS snapshot

The A record, nameservers and host at a glance.

Email authentication

SPF, DKIM, DMARC and MX graded, because weak auth sends mail to spam.

Mail Pulse

Catches WordPress mail that fails silently, with a weekly probe you confirm from an inbox.

How do the alerts work?

  • Up to 10 recipients. Leave it blank to use the site admin email.
  • Alert types: domain expiry, SSL/TLS expiry, tether failures, DNS changes (nameservers or A/AAAA) and Mail Pulse problems.
  • Reminders at 30, 14, 7 and 1 days before expiry.
  • Send a test email to check delivery. If it fails, install an SMTP plugin, because many hosts block PHP mail.
  • Download a client-ready Continuity report (PDF) from the Anchor screen.

Common questions

Short answers to what people ask before they start.

Do I need an Aepto account for Domain Anchor?

No. The plugin runs Domain Anchor on your WordPress site without an account: domain and SSL expiry, DNS, public-host and email authentication checks, with alerts by email.

What does connecting add on top of Domain Anchor?

Connecting free adds outside uptime from Aepto and lets you add the domain to your Aepto portfolio. On paid plans it also adds AI Content Monitoring, Domain Watch and Theft Guard from the Protection screen.

Why did Connect fail from my local site?

Connect needs a site that is publicly reachable over HTTPS. Localhost and plain HTTP fail by design, so connect from the production site.

My test email did not arrive. What should I do?

Many hosts block PHP mail. Install an SMTP plugin, save your alert recipients under Aepto, then Settings, and send the test email again.

Does disconnecting stop Domain Anchor?

No. Disconnecting stops cloud sync only. Domain Anchor checks and email alerts keep working in wp-admin.

Put a domain and SSL countdown in your dashboard.

Free to install. Domain Anchor needs no account.
